Adivasi Vs Assamese

I know you know that mini battle occurred in Assam's capital Dispur last November. Blood, Dead bodies, Bows & Arrows, Nudity everything you can imagine in a battle or in a war movie. The cops enjoyed it as live movie as we see live cricket. I don't understand why we need bows and arrows if we are gathering for our rights or indulged in a procession. I wonder what the adivasis have in mind.

To make it easy lemme tell you the incident. Some adivasi people, who were left behind by the British when they came to Assam some 200 years ago from places like Jharkhand, Orissa and Bihar, demanded for reservation status. The British brought them to cultivate the tea gardens and work there. Now when the British left why didn't these people go? Anyways. So these people used to work all these years in and for Tea gardens and had a life which I say is pathetic than cattle's. Also there were many other adivasis who had a better life than these Tea workers but still worse. Not much medical facility for them neither good schools. Its like mini Somalia or worse than any poor African country. So to make the things better they demand reservation in Govt. jobs and education. Also better facilities. So they demand by sitting on mass protests, Assam bandhs, processions and other mass gatherings possible.
Now when they go for all such gatherings they used to be armed with Spears, Bows & Arrows, Swords, Daggers etc. So on that day they were returning from a mass protest cum procession and while coming through this busy market in Dispur named Beltola they started smashing and hitting everything they can. The smashed cars and toppled them. They broke shops and started ransacking them. They even started hitting the locals and assaulted some women too. So in defense the locals started to attack them as well. And there one local guys stripped an adivasi woman who was later rescued by a local shopkeeper.
The whole incident occurred near the Assam State Secretariat. Its just a stone's throw. And fully cops infested.

So that was the story.

Now the media came. Times Now, Headlines Today, NDTV .. and what not. They got what they need. As they came after the whole movie got over. There were adivasis lying dead.. blood.. smashed glass... everything.. even underwears. So they showed it that the locals were barbarians from stone ages. They killed these poor fellows and stripped a lady. Even the cops came late and did nothing but to console. The politicians were like barking the same old tune of "Inquiry commission" etc. Also not to forget.. all the Jharkhand and adivasi minister poured in the state in a week and protested. Also they called Assam Bandhs for weeks and also a month in districts like Goalpara.

So is it what its worth it? Why we people fight to get the lower community status. Everywhere in the world people work to get a better life and better position. Here in India we fight to be the lowest class. Its hilarious at the same time pathetic. Ok I agree that the place and status of adivasis in Assam are worse. But do they need arms or do they need to smash and bash up people to show their power? Also when you lose the battle you call up you ministers to save you and your people and show your long hands. I wonder .. do they really belong to Assam? Why was the need to call ministers from Jharkhand and support them?

I think except the stripping thing everything done by the locals were justified. I am not saying this coz am an Assamese my self. I think if someone breaks in my house and damages my property.. I will bash him up, no wonder. I wont allow anyone to smash up my car and topple it.

I think Indian Media must evolve. They should show both the sides of the coin and not just misuse their power. Shame on Indian Media to portray the whole incident in a negative manner.

I think Assam is far better than Delhi, the Indian Capital. At-least people in Assam don't rape minors and murder elder citizens.
